Area:    Sana’a

The HRD is responsible for ensuring appropriate and sustainable organizational structure for MSIY, in order to achieve its mission, goals and objectives. As custodians of the values and culture of the organization, the HRD team is responsible for the employment policies, procedures, practices and systems that govern the employee life cycle.

The Role
The HRD Manager plays a key role in delivering an excellent client focused HR service to the support office in Yemen to enables the organization’s mission to be achieved. HRD manager will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to proactively identify areas where HRD can add value and lead solutions in support of meeting strategic goals. In this generalist role HRD manager will implement HR initiatives and advice, guide and support team members and managers, providing high level people management and development support.

Responsibilities:
•    Lead the Human Resource Development Department partnering with other colleagues and key senior managers to deliver an HR service in line with the needs and priorities of the organization
•    Play a key role in the implementation and delivery of key HR initiatives
•    Translate business requirements into effective HR practices
•    Deliver people solutions aligned to business objectives
•    Work at an operational level with multiple stakeholders
•    Deal with complex or sensitive day to day people management issues
•    Influence management and leadership around the people agenda and issues
•    Act as a single point of the contact for team members and managers 
•    Build a strong business relationship with key stakeholders
•    Actively identify gaps, proposes and implement changes necessary to cover risks
•    Act as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in the people management
•    Design succession plans for key talents and key job positions
•    Develop other HR team members

Experience:
•    Significant experience, at the business partner level, of supporting HR needs
•    Experience of leading HR best practice in the local environment
•    Experience of reviewing and benchmarking compensation and benefits packages
•    Up to date knowledge of immigration rules and legislation of the country.
•    Proven experience in working with senior managers and providing strategic HR advice
•    Demonstrable experience of project and change management skills
•    Strong Business Acumen
•    Self- managed and able to priorities
•    Analytical and Problem Solving Skills

Qualifications and Training (essential/desirable)
•    Educated to degree standard or equivalent, preferably with HR related degree.
•    Strong Arabic and English language communication skills both spoken and written.
