Save the Children in Yemen is looking for eligible candidates for the positions of:
Education Project Officer (Based In – Sa’ada, North Area)
Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day implementation of the emergency education component of the project including the construction work together with the engineers.
Key AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
• Support FOM in the implementation of the overall education project
• Process MoU with education department and local authorities to ensure community participation and clarify role, responsibilities for completion of activities on time.
• Carry out rapid needs assessment in school in coordination with stakeholders
• Organize capacity building trainings for teachers
• Collaborate with education department, cluster and other authorities/actors on the school rehabilitation activities to avoid duplication of work.
• Support the procurement of schools supplies/materials through needs identification in target schools
• Delivery supplies and materials to target schools
• Select contractor for the rehabilitation work per SCI policy
• Monitor and report on the school rehabilitation work
• Organize handing over of schools to education department after the completion of rehabilitation work
• Manage the part of the budget within the scheme of delegation
• Represent SCI in external meetings such cluster.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES:
• At least 2 years in expertise in field work with NGOs
• Relative Academic study.
• Good Spoken and and bsic written English and Arabic sklls
• Good knowledge of training skills.
• Good background knowledge about humanitarian work and Education system in Yemen
• Good knowledge of documentation and using IT.
• Good communication skills
