International Language Center (ILC) has positions open for Teachers of English as Foreign Language. ILC is a center established by University of Science & Technology (UST) with a mission to provide professional educational services and to contribute to the advancement of society. ILC operates on a large campus with various facilities, including a separate building for girls (G.B. Girls Branch), a fully equipped multimedia lab, a library, a TOEFl-BBT, and an academic resource center, all-conducive to an exciting learning atmosphere. ILC is seeking qualified candidates interested in joining a team-oriented organization with a strong curriculum which supports instructor creativity and professional development.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree is desirable, preferably in English as a Second Language (ESL) or Linguistics.
• Experience: A minimum of two years' experience in teaching ESL is preferred.
• Ability: Demonstrated ability to teach in a student-centered manner using the Communicative Approach and to establish a positive classroom-learning environment.
• English Proficiency: A high level of English proficiency in all language skills is required, native English speakers will be given preference.
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of English language teaching methodologies and techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Teach English as a foreign Language using communicative teaching methods.
• Provide language reinforcement activities creatively and productively and establish high-level student rapport and motivation.
• Prepare lessons, assign and correct homework, administer and grade quizzes and exams.
• Select and develop supplementary activities to enhance the quality of learning.
• Evaluate student progress in all language skills and work individually with students as needed, providing counseling and advice in support of the program goals.
• Actively participate in workshop and staff meetings.
