Position: Civil Works supervisor

JOB PURPOSE:
Management and coordination of general construction activity like Fabrication, Civil works rigging, Scaffolding , insulation, and painting on the LNG plant and the 38” Pipeline between KPU and BALHAF ensuring their full compliance with company design , budget , QA/QC and QSHE standers .
HSE RESPONSIBILITES
- Adhere to HSE and other policies, Confidentiality, Compliance needs and Procedures.
- Work safely without any LTI with contribution towards continual improvement.
- Attend mandatory HSE trainings, refresher/expired trainings and apply them on site.
- Support to maintain and continually improve ISO 14001 Environment Management System requirements and other management initiatives
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the construction activities at plant and off site including coordination with all disciplines
- Monitor the application of YNLG HSE Policy and national regulations in his area of Activities by the contractor personnel
- Propose the preventive and corrective actions to ensure the safety of personnel, the environment protection, and equipment integrity in his domain of activities.
- Monitors specially the contractor's HSE awareness and ability to work on the site.
- Assist superintendent to carry out specific duties related to construction activities such as revision of documentation, procedures, safety manual and other related documents.
- Participate when required in near misses analyses, HAZOPs, technical reviews, risk assessment, safety audits, etc.
- Supervise general construction activities carried out by contractors in the LNG plant and offsite areas of plant facilities and the implementation of modifications approved through the modifications requests.
- Follow up construction work by contractors, including issues and follows up clearance of punch list items for validation by construction Head
- Coordinate the daily running of construction activities, to ensure standard and quality of work executed by the contractor according to company spec. and requirement.
- Ensure enforcement of safety procedures and verification of all safety equipment are implemented by site construction personnel.
- Liaises with the contractors for prepare planning and scheduling routine work, prepare permit to work and material requisition.
- Ensure contractor's procedures are in place and equipment is in good condition at work site condition.
- Performs administrative duties such as compiling contractor's time sheets, store stock requisitions and special technical reports all as directed by the Construction Superintendent I Head Of Construction.
- Assists the Construction superintendent and the Head of Construction in the development of technical scope of work for contracts, specifically compilation of bills of materials and tender documents to be submitted to E&C Management.
- Coordinate with contractors and II involved in the work related to equipment, tools and material receipts, issuance, logistics, transportation, reservations/booking.
- Prepare daily reports on work carried out and contractor's performance
- Daily monitoring of progress and tracking quantities executed against plan.
Qualification:
-BSc.in an Engineering discipline from University or equivalent qualification.
Job Experience
- 7 years' construction supervision experience ( 2 years min. in oil & gas industry)
Job Specific Skills
- Good English level (speaking and writing) and fully fluent in Arab language. Leadership Attitude & Self motivated
